Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase in the case of functional or cosmetic defects with exceptions described in Terms of Service. You have 10 days after receiving the package to contact us. If the cable is damaged by you (Techflex, USB Ends, Coil, Aviator Connector etc.), you are not eligible for a refund or return. If you have an issue with your order, please contact us.
International Orders: Due to the logistical nature, all international sales are final. They can be returned and exchanged, but the customer covers the shipping costs. If you have any problems with your order, please contact us.
Custom Design / Made-to-Order: Returns are only accepted in the case of defects. Changes to your order can be requested within 2 hours after placing your order.
Group Buys (GB): Cancellations are accepted when the GB is still live. We don’t accept cancellations once it has been closed. PayPal/Credit card fees (5.40%) are non-refundable. If the cancellation is placed after the Group Buy has ended a 20% restocking fee will be applied to the refund.
Unicorn Cables are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. The cables are safely packaged in a box which fits the size of the cable. All our orders also include a tracking number which you can use to track the order. When placing an order make sure that your address is correct. If you need help with changing your address before shipping, please contact us.
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs.
Note: Duo to Covid-19 all shipping times are slower.
Turnaround time for:
- Custom Made-to-Order Cables: 2-5 business days (if not stated otherwise)
- Pre-Configured Cables: 2-5 business days (if not stated otherwise)
- Backorders: 3-4 weeks
- Group Buys: stated on the product page
The total length of the cable should not be more than 5M (≈16 ft). Anything longer than that, and the cable falls out of USB spec and risks losing its transmission power, which could cause it to under-perform or fail. ⚠️
Please note that some high-powered keyboards such as DROP ALT, CTRL or HHKB may not fully function depending on the length of your cable. It is recommended to stay under 3M (≈10 ft) for these types of keyboards or even lower. We will NOT accept refunds and returns if the cable you design exceeds 10 feet and struggles to power your keyboard.
Coils add up a significant amount of actual raw cable used based on the length of the coils and diameter.
- 15 cm (≈6″): 1.6 M (≈5 ft) raw cable
- 20 cm (≈8″): 2.1 M (≈7 ft) raw cable
Example: 15 cm (≈6″) coil w/ 1.5 M (≈5 ft) straight cable length = 3.1 M (≈10 ft) actual raw cable used
Changes after ordering: Changes to your order can be requested within 2 hours after placing your order. After that, we will start the process of making your cable and no further changes are accepted.
Cancellation: You are allowed to cancel your order within 2 hours after placing your order, but please note that PayPal/Credit card fees (5.60%) are non-refundable. If the cancellation is placed 2 hours after ordering a 20% restocking fee will be applied to the refund.
By joining a group buy, you acknowledge that the order will be shipped in the timeframe stated on the product page. Changes to turnaround time may happen at any time.
Changes after ordering: Changes to your order can be requested until the group buy has closed. After that, we don’t accept changes to your order.
Cancellation: Cancellations are accepted when the GB is still live. We don’t accept cancellations once it has been closed. PayPal/Credit card fees (5.40%) are non-refundable. We reserve the right to decline a cancellation if the cancellation is requested after the custom parts have been ordered of if the manufacturing process has been started.
