Shipping
When will my order ship?
For Made-to-Order in stock: Custom/Made-to-Order cables are expected to ship within 3-10 business days from purchase. However, we aim to deliver the cables within
3-5 business days. If you placed an order and the cable hasn’t shipped within 10 business days, please contact us.
For Made-to-Order available on backorder: Backorder items are expected to ship within 3-4 weeks.
For Group Buy (GB): Group Buy cables are shipped by the estimated shipping date on the product page. Follow Group Buys updates here.
Please note that if you ordered products that have different estimated dates together, they will ship after the last product is ready.

How much are shopping costs?
Shipping cost may vary depending on the delivery address for your order. Please add the items you wish to purchase to your cart and proceed to checkout. Once you enter your shipping information, you will see the shipping cost in the checkout screen.
What countries do you ship to?
We ship Worldwide! If you get to the checkout and don’t have an available shipping method, please contact us to let us know, so we can get it resolved.
Where do you ship from?
Cables are handcrafted in Slovenia, Europe. We make sure the cable is working and is not defective before sending.
What if my package is lost or damaged in transit?
Unicorn Cables does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged packages in transit, but please contact us if you encounter on any issues.
Do you ship to the UK?
Please contact us, if you would like to place an order from the UK.
What couriers do you use for Express Shipping?
DHL Express for international shipping and DPD / GLS within Europe.

What is Paracord?
Paracord is a lightweight nylon rope used for sleeving the cable.

What is Techflex?
Techflex is expandable PET sleeving used for double sleeving the cable.

How long can a USB cable be?
⚠️ The total length of the cable should not be more than 5M (≈16 ft). Anything longer than that, and the cable falls out of USB spec and risks losing its transmission power, which could cause it to under-perform or fail. ⚠️
Please note that some high-powered keyboards such as DROP ALT, CTRL or HHKB may not fully function depending on the length of your cable. It is recommended to stay under 3M (≈10 ft) for these types of keyboards, or even lower.

How much cable is used for the coil?
Coils add up a significant amount of actual raw cable used based on the length of the coils and diameter.
- 15 cm (≈6″): 1.75 M (≈6 ft) raw cable
- 20 cm (≈8″): 2.1 M (≈7 ft) raw cable
What is coil orientation?
Coil orientation determines where coil ends point to.
What is the diameter of the coil?
All coils are made with a 12 mm (approx. 1/2″) aluminium rod.
Are coils reversed?
Yes! All our coils are reversed, making the end result tight and springy.

What is a Group Buy?
A Group Buy (GB) offers products to the community that would otherwise have too much cost/risk associated with for a vendor to buy into it and bring it to market themselves. Think it as crowdfunding, similar to Kickstarter.

Why does it take so long to get the product made?
Like with every other group buy, we place the order for materials after the group buy has ended, because of the number of orders. Different manufacturers have different lead time. For example, LEMO® detachable connectors typically take around 1-2 weeks, while other type of connectors can take up to a month.
I missed the group buy, can I still join?
After a group buy has closed, we unfortunately can not open it back up, but we try to get some extras for people who miss the group buy. If you missed it, please contact us, and we will let you know if there are any extras left.
Orders
Can I return the order?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase in the case of functional or cosmetic defects, with exceptions described in Terms of Service. You have 10 days after receiving the package to contact us. For International orders please check Terms of Service. If you have an issue with your order, please contact us. However, if the cable is damaged by you (Techflex, USB ends, coil, Aviator Connector etc.), you are not eligible for a refund or return.
Can I change my address?
Sure, if the package wasn’t already sent, contact us, and we will change the address. Response time is usually within a few hours.
